Thinking about RESPECT…

There are three levels of respect to consider during this time of year… We will discuss all three of them and how they relate to karate and martial arts training at ATA Martial Arts. The first…

Respect for Yourself…

If you Respect yourself, you would treat yourself well. Your body and your mind should not just be taken care of but developed throughout your life. The body is developed by exercise, good nutrition, and avoiding bad foods or activities (like drugs). The mind is developed by how we think about ourselves, by having a great attitude and developing the confidence to do anything. Without respect for yourself, you can’t truly respect others. We can SEE who practices this because they demonstrate discipline.“In my day, we didn’t have self-esteem, we had self-respect, and no more of it than we had earned.”– Jane Haddam
